A NEW DEVELOPMENT THAT CHANGES THE PICTURE

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation joins Castello Errante’s supporting institutions

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has joined the supporters of the international residency. It is an important recognition, arriving in the project’s tenth year.

The Ministry and Castello Errante will work together to promote professional training, intercultural dialogue, and transnational collaboration. This is exactly what Castello Errante does: bringing together emerging film professionals from Italy and Latin America to work, learn, and produce films side by side.

Alongside the long-standing partners that have supported the project over the years, including the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs now becomes part of the institutional network that reflects the true nature of Castello Errante: a film training programme that is, at its core, an international cultural cooperation project.

OCTOBER IN UMBRIA

The tenth edition takes place in the green heart of Italy

The 10th edition of Castello Errante will take place during the second half of October in Umbria, in a remarkable location that will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Umbria is now the new home of Castello Errante—a region made for cinema: landscapes that need no set design, historic villages, rolling hills, and a light that transforms every frame. For a residency that produces films on location, it is a setting that becomes part of the creative process.

This move has been made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Umbria Region and Umbria Film Commission. A partnership that brings the international residency to a new territory, offering participants an environment and a professional network that are difficult to find elsewhere.

Thanks to these new collaborations, Castello Errante has extended its calls by a few weeks, while at the same time beginning the selection process for the applications already received.

Castello Errante is conceived and organised by Occhi di Giove S.r.l., in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Umbria Region, Umbria Film Commission, IILA, Doc/it – Italian Documentary Association, Red TAL, and the Embassies of Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
