We begin again!

Castello Errante reopens applications for its tenth edition, renewing its commitment to creating a unique experience for young audiovisual professionals.

In a stunning location in Italy—soon to be revealed—young professionals from the film and audiovisual sector, coming from some of the most prestigious film schools across two continents, will take part in an intensive training and production experience, culminating in the creation of a fiction short film.

The project offers a residency model that is unique worldwide: an immersive journey combining on-site production, masterclasses, and workshops with international tutors and professionals, aimed at exploring contemporary narrative forms, enhancing the local territory, and building a global network of emerging talent.

The calls are open for the selection of:

        – A screenplay for a fiction short film.

        – The following roles: Director, Assistant Director, Director of Photography/Camera Operator, 1st & Second Camera Assistant, Sound Recordist, Production Designer, Assistant Production Designer, Costume Designer, Editor (with Data Manager skills), Filmmaker, Composer, Production Assistant.

The 10th edition introduces an expanded and renewed screenwriting track, designed to offer selected authors more time for development and exchange before the residency begins. An opportunity to deepen work on story, characters, and cinematic language, under the guidance of industry professionals.

The international crew—composed of professionals from more than 10 countries across Latin America and Italy, selected through the calls—will be tasked with producing the audiovisual work, under the mentorship of leading figures in Italian and international cinema, and in continuous dialogue with the host territory.

The project is conceived and organized by Occhi di Giove S.r.l., with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with IILA – International Italo-Latin American Organization, Doc/it – Italian Documentary Film Association, Red TAL, and the Embassies of Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Colombia, Haiti, Paraguay, Honduras, and Panama, as well as several Latin American national film schools such as Instituto Profesional Arcos and Universidad de las Américas in Santiago, Chile.
