EXCEPTIONAL EXTENSION CALL 2023 OF CASTELLO ERRANTE: August 15th

The network of partners working with Castello Errante is growing for greater visibility and to promote international exchanges between Italy and Latin America. The new members that are joining the network this year are: INVE – Plataforma Experimental De Artes which organizes a film festival and an experimental residence in Chile, Libélula Dorada International Short Film Festival of the Dominican Republic and AANT – Academy of Arts and New Technologies of Rome, whose students will work with the project team for the realization of a communication and promotion campaign of the initiative.

In order to encourage the promotion of the new edition and to give more opportunities to participate to young Italian and international professionals, also through the contribution of the new project partners, the deadline to apply for Castello Errante Residency is extended to August 15 th, 2023. An exact additional month, then, to the expiration of the terms of the calls that select a screenplay for a free-theme fiction short, and an international film crew.

The new deadline expires at 23:59 (CEST) on August 15th, 2023.

The recipients of the calls are students and young audiovisual professionals aged between 21 and 35 years from Italy and Latin America that Castello Errante brings together in a small Italian village, in order to participate in intensive training meetings and to produce audiovisual products. The call for the selection of a screenplay is aimed at promoting young Italian or Latin American authors: the selected work will be realized by the international crew and broadcast at national and international film festivals and circuits. The objective of the call for the selection of the international film crew is to make up a team that will realize the selected short film work. For the students, it will be possible to apply for the following roles: Director of the short film fiction, Director of the documentary short film, Director of Photography, Assistant Operator, Assistant Director, Sound Engineer, Costume Designer, Set Designer, Editor, Filmmaker. 

The residence will take place, in its online part, in the first half of October and, in its onsite part, in the first half of November 2023 in a village of the Lazio Region.
